Non-Acronyms

Showdown Value A hand, which will add value to your table image if shown at the river when everybody sees your cards.  Most typically used when referring to a hand which you raised.  If you were on a steal with lousy cards, then such a hand would have low "showdown value" and will likely lead others to play back against you in future hands you've raised.  If you raised with good cards, then no matter what happens at the river, this hand has a high "showdown value" and will back up your table image that others don't want to challenge your and play back against you in the future.

Drew:

I've been playing some plo hi/lo and been winning. The 5/10 game on party is good. I have been messing around with some stud too, however that is my weakest game by far. nl holdem is an up and down event right now. Lost a huge pot with the nut boat to quads. flop was 7 6 2 two hearts. I had 77 my opponent had 55. I checked he be 110$ i raised to 350$ he called. Turn 5, I checked he bet 600$ i called. river 5 I bet 1500$ he moved in I called another 2000$. That hand sucked.
